The 2025–26 academic year was another remarkable one for Fairfield Athletics.

Friends of Fairfield Athletics,

As we celebrate the summer, we're also celebrating a historic year that saw our Stags capture a third consecutive Richard J. Ensor, Esq. MAAC Commissioner's Cup, recognizing the conference's top overall athletics program. Along the way, Fairfield claimed six conference tournament championships and produced 12 individual conference champions.

The past few months have also marked several memorable milestones. We celebrated the outstanding career of Coach Bill Currier following his retirement after 13 seasons leading our baseball program, welcomed Coach John Odierna as the new head coach of men's lacrosse, and congratulated Matt Bucciero '26 on being selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 10th round of the MLB Draft.

This summer also brought exciting news for the future of Stags Athletics. Beginning July 1, 2027, Fairfield University will join the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) as a full member. As we prepare for this exciting transition, we'll proudly compete for one final season in the Metro Conference (formerly the MAAC) while continuing our pursuit of another Commissioner's Cup.

Please take a moment to reflect on another record-setting year for Fairfield Athletics—on the field, in the classroom, and throughout our community.
