Dear Fellow Fairfield University Parents and Guardians,

As co-chairs of the Parents Leadership Council (PLC) and the proud parents of Sofia ’27, we are truly delighted to welcome you to the Fairfield University family. Our own journey began at Admitted Students Day where we first felt the warmth of this special community—a feeling that has only grown stronger as we’ve seen the University’s impact on our own student’s life. We are confident that you will soon feel that sense of belonging.

It has been truly inspiring to witness President Mark R. Nemec, PhD’s vision for a valuesbased, student-centric, and outcomes-focused education come to life. Throughout the past three years, we have seen this isn't just a philosophy; it’s a practice. By blending timeless Jesuit educational values with a forward-thinking focus on innovation and collaboration, Fairfield equips our students with the moral compass and the modern skills necessary to lead in an evolving world.

We often find ourselves fielding enthusiastic inquiries from friends and colleagues across the country asking about the "secret sauce" here. Our answer is always the same: a heartfelt, wholehearted endorsement of this transformative education!

As Fairfield parents, we are more than just observers; we are vital members in this vibrant and unique community. We encourage you to immerse yourself in this journey alongside your student, from the milestone of move-in day to the bittersweet moments of moveout, and every campus visit in between.

Our own experience has been deeply enriched by spirited games and campus events, volunteering through the Parent Ambassador program, collaborating with fellow parents in the PLC, and supporting the University’s mission through philanthropy.

Parent Ambassador Program

Looking for ways to get involved at Fairfield? Parent Ambassadors represent Fairfield and our parent community in meaningful ways both on and off campus, enriching the overall student experience and supporting the work of the University. Volunteer opportunities include hosting events, offering career-related opportunities for students, attending regional events, assisting with welcome calls, and contacting fellow parents.

The Parents Fund

Parent philanthropy is essential to the enrichment of our Fairfield University community. Your support ensures the continued strength of our rigorous academic programs, vibrant student life services, and life-changing financial aid—all deeply rooted in our Jesuit values. By investing in Fairfield, you expand opportunities for every student and elevate the University’s national profile and prestige.

Giving Societies

The University’s giving societies consist of community members who share similar philanthropic values, interests, or affinities. The Parents Leadership Council (PLC) is a network of parents dedicated to enhancing University initiatives by raising support for the Parents Fund, scholarships, athletics, and more. Executive Parents Leadership Council (EPLC) honors parents who commit $25,000 annually to help shape the future of the University.

Our oldest daughter (of four) is currently in the Class of 2029 and her overall experience has been amazing from the second she first stepped on campus to tour Fairfield University. Our hope is that her positive experience will lead the way and encourage her younger sisters to follow and seek out this amazing Jesuit education at this wonderful institution!”
